Reflections of week 6: Using interactive Web/ Using Web2.0
In this module I had the opportunity to learn about using the interactive web in the classroom and for medical purposes.Web 2.0 allows to use social networks, it has fast conection and rich media content. You can share opinions with the world, find images, photos, music, videos and share them too. You can create and share presentations and learn how to do things. There are a lot of resources for learning and teaching in an interactive way. You can use Blog, Podomatic, Skype, Ning, Digg, Wiki, free Web based apps. But we cannot forget that always we need to consider the quality and credibility of the material we are using.

My reflections in week 3: Copyright
To download medical information from Internet gives me the opportunity to be up-to-date. It´s easy, fast and trustful ( using the proper search sites ).The National Library of Medicine Data published their position about Copyright Information. It´s allowed those who search NLM databases to download for personal use and may provide others with a single copy of downloaded data. People don´t need license agreement . Users of these data must indicate the source database.
My reflections in week 3: Searching
It´s important to know how to search in the medical websites. As a doctor, the information I read comes from recognized digitized scientific journals and well known authors. In the medical articles there is an explanation of the research method, it can be duplicated and the sources are listed in the bibliography or in linked documents. The date is always refered . There are research notes, articles, supplemental articles, review articles and others . For my students I prefer to give them specific Web pages to look for more information.

reflections: integrating the web
It´s important to evaluate websites so that you can choose the one that is accurate and easy to use. Giving information to the students before the class allows them to understand the new topic in a easy and fast way. In the same way it helps a lot if they can look for extra information in the Web after the class. To teach using the technological tools is succesful if the class is well organized and is adapted to the level of the students.

my reflections about" evaluating and selecting websites"
It´s very important the evaluation of Web resources to select the right one. I learned that accuracy and acceptance, authority and coverage, audience and relevance, educational focus and the ease of use will help me a lot to choose the right one. It´s also very important to know what I want my students to achieve by using Internet and if the content of the site is not the right one or the material is confusing is better to evaluate a new site.

my reflections in week 2
Now I have new and more organized information about the LT. I want to improve the way I give my conferences to be more interactive and use other technological tools for complementary information.I think that it is also very important to give specific instructions ( using the LT) about how to look for medical information in internet.

my reflections in week 1
At first, I felt totally lost but to work under such an organized structure allow me to continue. As a physician I am learning a lot from your teacher experience, it helps me understand my audience better.Netiquette is essential for good communication and I found very interesting the "extract from a communications guide by Gary Alexander" especially to be used when there are different views about a topic. As he says, it´s much easier the discussion face- to- face.I began to practice it .
